3.Grooming session

Your dog receives a quality grooming experience in our fully equipped mobile salon, with our experienced and qualified groomers, ensuring comfort and care.

4. Post-grooming tips

We provide a detailed report on the grooming session and provide tips for maintaining your dog's coat until our next grooming visit.

The consultation

During the consultation your dog will receive a seven-point health check so we can discuss any issues that may be found, any adjustments that may be needed to be made during the groom and if any issues may require attention from a vet. We will assess the following;

1. Eyes

We will check your dog’s eyes as a sign of health, look to see if a pet’s eye colour is bright. If the eyes are dull in colour or have a green or yellow discharge, there may be an underlying issue such as an allergy, infection or something more serious.

2. Ears

What we will be looking for are strong odours, as this may indicate an issue. Ears that are swollen, tender and have discharge are also red flag.

3. Nose

Changes in texture and colour, may indicate an issue. A prolonged dry, cracked nose, particularly with loss of pigmentation, scabs or open sores as well as contact sensitivity and nasal discharge can be warning signs.

4. Mouth & Teeth

Decaying teeth and swollen gums could be signs of gum disease while healthy teeth with puffy gums, can signal a different health issue.

5. Paw Pads

Cracked pads typically result from irritants, diet or rough terrain, and are not necessarily indicators of a more serious problem.

6. Skin & Coat

Running hands along the dog’s body to check for bumps, scrapes, lumps, hot spots, warts and matting. Any raised surface would be a sign that further inspection by a veterinarian may be necessary.

7. Hygiene Areas

Odours, matting or insects on a pet’s underside are all concerning issues as well as any red, swollen or irritated skin.
